How it works: Simple, Safe, Seamless
We've designed our service to slot smoothly into existing healthcare—no complicated new systems, just care that comes to you:
- Your GP makes the request -Your doctor requests the blood test just as they normally would and provides a completed ICE form (or equivalent). Nothing changes in how you work with your GP.
- We Coordinate Everything - We liaise directly with your GP surgery so you don't have to juggle appointments, forms, or logistics. One less thing on your already full plate.
- We Come to You - Our professional phlebotomists arrive at a time that suits your household—not the other way around. We bring everything needed for a safe, comfortable blood draw in your own space.
- We Handle the Return Journey - Samples are returned safely to your GP or designated laboratory according to proper protocols. Your doctor receives the results exactly as they would if you'd attended the surgery.
- Your GP Contacts You as Usual - Your doctor discusses results and any next steps with you, just as they always have. We've simply removed the difficult journey in between.
Important: Your Doctor Remains in Charge
Your GP retains full clinical responsibility for your care—diagnosis, test selection, interpretation of results, and all follow-up treatment. That relationship doesn't change.
Golden Community does not select which tests you need, interpret results, provide diagnosis, offer medical advice, or suggest treatment. We're phlebotomy specialists—we perform the blood draw with expertise and care, then return samples safely to your doctor.
Think of us as the bridge that makes routine care more accessible, not a replacement for your existing healthcare relationships.
